Doula services
-
prenatal sessions
Prenatal visits are designed to prepare you for childbirth and ensure you and your partner feel confident and informed. You can expect to develop a birth plan, practice comfort measures, positions, and exercises, and get educated on labor, birth, and postpartum.
-
labor & delivery
I provide unwavering support from the onset of labor until after the birth of your baby. This can include joining you at home during early labor if desired and accompanying you to the hospital/birth center. I provide comfort and pain relieving measures like massage, counter pressure, position changes and movement. I will also help you think through decisions and help you stay informed and confident. I will guide your partner or other birth support on how to best support and care for you and stay involved and allow them to take breaks as needed.
-
Postpartum
I will visit you in your home in the postpartum period to help process the birth experience, work on breastfeeding if any issues arise, and ensure you are being well cared for and recovering.
